Kevin Anderson and his team in the diocesan property department have worked long and hard for many months to secure for us a grant from Historic England of over £130 000 to go towards addressing some urgent roof repairs at St Cuthbert’s as identified in a structural survey by the parish’s architectural advisors. We are truly indebted.

UPDATE – we’re delighted to learn that the grant has been increased to £228,000.

Update – We have also now received a further £10,000 grant from AllChurches Trust. Many thanks to the Trust for this generosity which will go toward the existing restoration work.
