Safeguarding

Our safeguarding strategy is supported by the Diocese of Leeds and focuses on preventative best practice to ensure a safe space for everyone in our parish. Particular work is focused on the safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults by employing best practice through training, risk assessment and monitoring.

The current Safeguarding Representative is Roxanna Drake. Roxanna’s role is to liaise between the parish and diocese to ensure that safeguarding policies and mandatory requirements such as DBS applications are kept up to date.

Roxanna is also a point of contact for anyone who wishes to talk about anything related to safeguarding or disclosure issues. This may also include historical issues not related to the parish.
